How do I get to Symi?

Symi is part of the Dodecanese group of islands in the south Aegean. There are flights to Rhodes and Kos which connect to Symi via boat transfers. There is also a boat directly from Athens twice weekly. You can check schedules online at these websites: Dodecanese Seaways, Anes or Blue Star Ferries (From Athens and Rhodes).

What is the climate during the summer months?

July and August are the hottest months on Symi. Temperatures on average range from 32°C - 45°C. June and September range more between 28°C - 38°C. For those of you wishing for cooler temperatures, May and October are 25°C -35°C. It is very unlikely to have rainfall between June and end of September.
